About Us
What is the Oklahoma Sheriffs and Police Officers Association (OSPOA)?
We are Oklahoma law enforcement and security personnel with a mission to promote high standards and mutual cooperation among all branches of our profession. OSPOA is comprised of law enforcement officials from city, county, state, tribal, and federal agencies, working together to promote the responsible enforcement of law and order through training and continuing education.
OSPOA has a long history of service in Oklahoma. We were founded in 1914, incorporated in 1929 and established our official headquarters in Oklahoma City in 1960. Our Executive Board is elected by our members at each annual training conference and is composed of law enforcement officers from a variety of agencies.
We believe that cooperation among agencies and sharing knowledge about advancements in the sciences of prevention and detection of crime will make a positive difference in our communities.
