Through facilitated discussions, group activities, and role-play exercises, the course participants will analyze what inhibits officers from intervening, recognize law enforcement-specific barriers to effective intervention, examine duty to intervene legal standards for law enforcement, and identify key benefits of an effective intervention.

Halting Animal Cruelty in Your Community
• A thorough review of Oklahoma animal neglect and cruelty statutes
• Identifying and addressing the most common animal cruelty complaints in Oklahoma, neglect, hoarding and animal fighting.
• A walk-through of the use of the forfeiture process in animal cruelty cases.
• Guide on the use of terms and conditions in certain dog, horse and cat cases.
• Mental illnesses (2 hours) resulting in animal hoarding, animal torture and the link between animal cruelty and domestic violence and serial sexual predation and sexual homicide. The class covers mental health diagnoses relevant to the DA in prosecuting these cases.

This 4-day program is our most comprehensive program on the Reid Technique®. We have integrated all of our material from our standard three-day program and our one-day advanced program into a single presentation to give participants a complete presentation of the Reid Technique in a single seminar. The participant will receive 24 hours of Continuing Professional Education credits.
Public Order Public Safety Executive Course
This course provides senior law enforcement officers with skills to develop critical thinking and intuitive decision-making that support safe and responsive action in regaining order of a crowd. Participants receive instruction in legal perspective, crowd dynamics, demonstrator tactics, and force multipliers.
Search and Canvass Operations in Child Abductions
Seconds count when a child is missing. Gain the critical skills needed to construct and manage effective search and canvass operations to recover the child. Recognize crucial cell phone and technology-related evidence which can help locate the child and track the abductor. Explore relevant legal issues associated with criminal cases against those who abduct and harm children. Participate in hands-on exercises designed to test your knowledge and application of the material and prepare you for your next missing child case.
Child Abduction Response Team
Take steps toward implementing a successful CART by bringing together a team of experts whose knowledge, skills, and abilities will be beneficial in a child abduction case. Join us to learn how to develop a multidisciplinary CART for responding to endangered, missing, or abducted children. Hear about the impact a child abduction has on the family and learn the fundamentals of developing an effective responsive CART team. Examine incident command considerations, search and canvassing operations, CART activation, and resources to improve the response, investigation, search, and canvass activities associated with missing children investigations.

Also included are de-escalation and prevention of escalation while maintaining professionalism, respectfulness, and self-control, particularly if insulting or disrespectful language and behavior are present. Numerous participatory scenarios and examples of proper officer behavior and responses.
The previous sessions were held on October 30th and October 31st.
A total of 14 hours of continuing education and 2 mental hours has been approved by CLEET.

Pre-Employment Background Investigations
Description: Background investigations play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the hiring process. In order to make a valid evaluation of the individual, it is crucial that as much information as possible be known and that the investigation be of high quality. This course is designed to give the professional investigator the tools to conduct an objective and accurate pre-employment background investigation.
